Hi. I am Wendy Capland, creator of The Magic Parties. I am sometimes affectionately referred to as The Magic Woman. As CEO of Vision Quest Consulting, I have 20 plus years of experience developing, coaching and training corporate leaders and managers.
One
day in August of 2006, I woke up wondering “Is this
all there is?” I started to feel restless inside knowing
on some unexplainable level that my work, in its current
configuration, was not making enough of an impact
in the world working with one leader and one corporation
at a time.
I
felt that like I had more in me waiting to be expressed,
birthed, and experienced both personally and professionally.
Maybe I was having a mid-life crisis! But it really
felt like the beginning of a wonderful journey, into
finding out who I am and what I want next in my life.

I found myself being drawn to expand my work beyond corporate
leaders and the corporation. Not an entirely new focus…
but a new expression. Although I did not leave my day job,
I started imagining what it would be like if I could make
more of an impact in the world helping others in a way I
had not done before. I felt like I had more in me just waiting
and I began looking for a place to express it.
My
restlessness and searching for what was next in my life
had me linking my gift of sparkle, my spunk-like personality,
my ability to develop leadership talent, and over 20 years
lifting the human spirit and unleashing the hidden gifts
and talents in corporate America, with my love of being
with my girlfriends - transforming all of it into a business
model called The Magic Parties.
I
am deeply passionate about the spirit of sisterhood; women
supporting women. I so love, love, love, being with my girlfriends,
who I call “the sisters of my heart” because they
make me feel special and courageous, they listen to my woes,
wipe my tears, shore me up, inspire me, and make me feel
blessed with their love and friendship.
I believe that women provide a necessary function for each other that our families, our husbands or partners, and children cannot fulfill. And that every woman needs other women to encircle her as she travels the ups and downs of life. I think networks of women in community can accomplish miracles and magic in the world because, together, we are less afraid. We see the best in each other; making any dream seem possible.
